Make your own Cream Cheese + Save MONEY!

When I was working, I'd always stop and grab a bagel & cream cheese - at the cost of about $3 for just one bagel. I can beat that! You can get A DOZEN bagels and an entire tub of flavored cream cheese for about the same cost.

I buy bagels at Aldi - they are called "mini" bagels, but they are actually a normal size. The ones from the specialty bagel shops are about 4 times the size of a normal serving. They have plain & whole wheat and they are $1.89/bag of 12.

The cream cheese is also from Aldi. I like it better than Philly, too. The normal price is $.99/brick, but I stocked up when they were on sale for $.79 each.

I've experimented with lots of different kinds of cream cheese, but this one is my all time favorite. Even my picky husband and my 2 year old love it.

1 brick cream cheese  - I use light
about 1/4 cup of minced scallions/green onions
about 1/4 cup of minced carrots

That's it. So easy. Blend them together & put in a sealed container in the fridge. It should last a week or two, but I guarantee it'll be gone before it goes bad.

I forgot to mention that you can really get creative with this. It's so easy to mimic the cream cheeses at the specialty stores. Jalepenos? Yes! A little cinnamon & sugar? Yes! The possibilities are endless.
